Quantity / Building surveyors
The Quantity Surveyor, together with the Project Manager, is a key member of the development and construction team; the essential link between the client, specialists and the contractor. He provides expertise on construction costs and communication from inspection to completion of the project.
We would normally provide for the client:
- Preliminary cost advice and cost planning.
- Advice on procurement route and type of contract.
- Advice on obtaining tenders.
- Preparation of tender documents.
- Negotiating with contractors.
- Cost Control.
- Preparation of financial statements and work in progress.
- Settlement of final accounts.
In addition, working with our Structural Engineers and Quantity Surveyors we provide Contract Administration services. In this role we issue instructions under the contract, together with ensuring the scheme meets specification, statutory requirements and client’s brief.
