| Project Brief: | Construction of a six storey (five floors over a lower ground open undercroft parking area) situated within the Thames flood plain. The building is a reinforced concrete frame flat slab type construction with the floors acting as transfer structures at a number of levels to suit the highly irregular floor layout throughout the building. The uppermost penthouse floor is to be constructed in loadbearing masonry with a timber roof. The undercroft parking has been designed to be completely submersed under water during extreme periods of rainfall. |
