| Project Brief: | Construction of multi-storey development involving 2 storey basement car parking, retail accommodation at ground floor level and five storeys of residential flats above. The drained cavity and contiguous piled wall was chosen for the basement car park to avoid the need for a waterproof reinforced concrete wall to line the piled wall. A composite precast/insitu RC panel system from Germany was used for the first time for a residential building in the UK. |
