The projects involves the construction of a mix of residential units, a sports hall and administration block adjacent to an existing nine storey tower which is to be retained and refurbished as part of the works.
Consulting engineers
The projects we handle vary from multi-million pound commercial schemes to domestic alterations. We work closely with Clients, Architects and Services Engineers to ensure that the structure is well integrated with the building design. Our Engineers carry out both Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering.
Our services for commercial/institutional clients include
- Design for new build, refurbishments and conversions, which includes offices, hotels, warehouses, shops, schools and housing, including estates.
- Investigation, appraisal and feasibility reports.
- Alternative designs for design & build/trade subcontractors.
- Checking for Local Authorities.
Our services for domestic clients include
- Design and detailing for creating basements below existing properties and extending existing basements for habitable purposes.
- Design for new build projects, refurbishment and conversions, including extensions and loft conversions.
- Investigation and reports for insurance claims including subsidence, flood or fire damage.
- Structural inspections.
- Structural Engineering reports for house and property purchases.
The Practice has recently developed our Civil Engineering Department and are now able to offer an increased service which includes the following:
- Dealing with both adoptable and non-adoptable sewer and road systems.
- Preparation of section 38 and Section 104 drawing submissions
- Flood Risk Assessments
- Pre-planning drainage scheme designs
- Preparation of SUR1 and SUR2 documentation with respect to Code for Sustainable Home requirements.
